More about this artwork

The painting showcases an abstract composition suffused with a range of emotions, evoked by a dynamic interplay of colors and forms. Dominant in the artwork is a vibrant coral hue that forms a central, almost heart-like shape. This warm, lively color bleeds into its surroundings, where cooler blues, greens, and purples blend and contrast, illustrating turmoil or perhaps a dance between differing emotions and states of being. Glimpses of white and beige add highlights, providing a sense of depth and complexity.Enigmatic lines and shapes intersect and overlap, suggesting a latent energy or movement within the confines of the canvas. The strokes are broad and confidently applied, contributing to an overall feeling of spontaneity and impulsiveness. This chaotic yet harmonious interaction of elements might symbolize hope amidst uncertainty, a central theme that could be inferred from the title. The layering of paint and the tactile quality of the brushwork add an organic, almost living presence to the piece, inviting the viewer to linger and explore the depths of both color and emotion portrayed.

Help

The artist Jonė Šlepetytė (1986) is a member of the young generation of painters, a representative of the abstraction movement.

The main direction of the artist is the retransmission of the energy and feeling of nature, historical events to the viewer by means of abstractions and the experience of searching for contemporary concepts. The viewer is drawn into the world of abstractions with soft, pulsating brushstrokes and subtle tonal gradations.

Various textures and silhouettes play harmoniously with the shadows in the picture plane, skillfully distracting and then returning the viewer to reality...

The painting conservation and restoration studios have given us a basic insight into the painting techniques of the old masters and the subtleties of classical painting. The experience gained led to studies in painting specialisation, during which the experience was gained from respected teachers, Arvydas Martinaitis, Romanas Vilkauskas and Ričards Garbačiauskas.

She actively participates in exhibitions and projects of various themes.
