More about this artwork

The painting features two stylized figures that seem to represent elderly men. The figure on the left is larger and more dominant, depicted with pronounced features, including a full beard and a long braid that drapes over his shoulder, colored in red hues. His expression is solemn, and his eyes appear contemplative. The second figure, considerably smaller in scale, is shown in profile, with a bald head and a slender, curving form that suggests frailty. Between the figures, a small, whimsical bird is perched on what appears to be a staff or cane held by the smaller man. The background is sparse, emphasizing the figures and their interaction. The artwork uses a limited palette, mainly focusing on earthy tones which convey a serene, timeless quality.

From 2007 to 2010, Ramūnas attended Vilnius College of Technologies and Design, where he studied graphic design. Throughout these years, his enthusiasm for graphic arts truly blossomed. Gravure graphic techniques serve as the main focus of his artistic work, a field demanding both creative insight and precise technical skill.
