Artist

"My paintings are an expression of my personality. I am a choleric - I have mood swings, I am highly active, I have a sensual, romantic, extravagant personality, and my emotional sensitivity is heightened. So my temperament is also evident in my paintings - they are very expressive, with strong lines and colours. My paintings are suitable for a person with a strong personality, they brighten up a bland home interior and add spice to life.

Painting is a kind of meditation for me - when I paint I forget about the whole world; I can say that it is probably the only moment when I feel fully present here and now.

Another passion of mine is travelling, where I usually take a lot of photographs. I guess the things I see, the colours, the textures, the sensations are also reflected in my paintings," she says.

The female body is the main subject of the artist's imagery, and the majority of her repertoire is made up of nudes, but instead of going for a realistic depiction, the artist stylises and deforms the bodies for the sake of artistic intent. In this way, the often occurring dehumanisation and whitewashing is avoided. Through the female body, the artist seeks to reveal the different stages and states of a woman's life.
