"When I make etchings, I feel like I'm in another world that mirrors this one. Maybe it's the mirror effect that makes each line and tone push against the opposite side, maybe it's the complicated chemical process and the unexpected end result, or maybe it's the intertwining of risk and magic.

Working with metal panels seems to give me permission to distort reality, to add the spice of a fairy tale, to tell the story behind that magic mirror. And the whole creative process builds patience, reminding us every time that no matter how much we plan and control everything, it is not all in our hands, there is always room for chance. And I'm learning to embrace and enjoy them. I like to say that creativity teaches me to live. It's a state where I can escape to gain wisdom, hide, or just recover.

I graduated from the National M.K.Čiurlionis School of Arts, majoring in graphics. After that I studied illustration, got a Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Edinburgh, and studied in Switzerland on an exchange programme," says the young generation of artists.

The relationship between nature and man is a central theme in Kristina's work. Nature is powerful and frightening, an irresistible element that at the same time lets in and protects.

Man as a part of nature and nature as his. Each other's response. These are poetic works exploring deep inner experiences.

Many of these prints have travelled throughout Europe, America and Asia.
