Nature painting, inspired by Lithuanian and Oriental landscapes

Ina Loreta Savickienė is a professional artist who lives and works in Vilnius and has a master's degree in psychology (Vilnius University). For the author, painting is like a continuation of human studies, only through his relationship with nature. Knowledge that goes together with admiration and active artistic interpretation.

Ina L. Savickienė aims to portray the perfection of nature by depicting real or constructed landscapes that stimulate contemplation and a sense of harmony. Mountains speak of eternity, plant flowers and leaves – the beauty and fragility of the moment, flowing water describes constant change.

Eastern mountain landscapes and Lithuanian motifs of rivers, trees, plains, dunes intertwine in Ina L. Savickienė's work, taking over each other's features and blurring the boundaries between continents and different traditions. The author's works invite you to accept nature‘s greatness into you and thus discover new horizons of attitude towards life and yourself.

Ina L. Savickienė started painting in 2011, after getting acquainted with the ink and sumi-e painting tradition of East Asia - Japan, China, Korea. After years of combined practice as psychologist and artist, now Ina L. Savickiene continues as a full time professional artist only.

Ink, soft brush, mineral pigments and rice paper are the media used to create her artworks. Most works are mounted onto foam cardboard with some extra space for margins.

Ina Loreta Savickiene was granted the status of Art Creator by the Council of culture of the  Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Lithuania in 2020.

The author has organized 7 personal exhibitions, 7 virtual exhibitions and participated in 7 group exhibitions in Lithuania and abroad.
