More about this artwork

The painting portrays a serene and mystical scene featuring water lilies floating on a tranquil pond. The background and surroundings are rendered in warm, earthy tones of brown, red, and hints of mossy green, creating a soft and enveloping atmosphere. The blooms are depicted in exquisite detail, with pure white petals that stand out against the muted backdrop, their golden centers inviting a closer look. Shadows and light play across the surface, suggesting the gentle movement of water. Subtle textures that mimic the natural elements of water, stone, and plant life enhance the dreamlike quality of the scene. These elements harmoniously blend, evoking a sense of peacefulness and the inherent beauty of a quiet, natural setting.

Artist

Ana Radivilovič’s journey into watercolor painting began only a few years ago, representing one of the most transformative moments in her life. She characterizes watercolor as a medium that is at once delicate and transparent, yet also possesses the power to convey depth and intensity. For Ana, painting transcends both hobby and career, becoming an essential means for expressing her most personal thoughts and feelings—from moments of great happiness to profound contemplation. The interplay of light—whether it gleams brightly or quietly settles into hidden places—greatly shapes her creative approach.

Through her watercolors, Ana delves into the spectrum of human emotion and experience. While she draws inspiration from uplifting feelings and the radiance of light, she also acknowledges that more somber experiences hold a significant place in her artistic development. By welcoming both brightness and shadow, Ana’s work encourages viewers to recognize life’s richness and embrace every moment, even those touched by hardship or sorrow. Her paintings strive to reflect these intricacies and to stir similar emotions in those who engage with them.

In the past few years, Ana Radivilovič has expanded her audience and reached a wider public with her paintings. She has organized three solo exhibitions, each testament to her artistic growth and unwavering passion. Her art has also appeared in many international group shows, visiting more than ten countries throughout Europe, Asia, and North America. These experiences have enabled her to interact with art enthusiasts from a variety of cultures and to offer her distinctive outlook on the world.

Ana continues to pursue her watercolor practice with dedication, always exploring fresh avenues for self-expression and connection through her work. Each new painting and exhibition represents a chance to communicate meaningful feelings and experiences with her viewers. Ana is eager to advance on this artistic journey, sharing her developing creative narrative with all who are interested in following along.
