Artist

I could talk about each piece separately. Mostly I create only from what I myself experience and live in one way or another. I believe that the emotion that I experience remains in my work, it's not just an image or just a graphic, a spot and a line, there is a feeling on the piece of paper and it hovers around the piece wherever it is or wherever it is. Basically, I want to spread joy and positivity through my work, which I feel myself" - says the artist.

Tadas Šimkus graduated from the VDA KDF with a Bachelor's degree in graphic arts. He is an active street artist, an organiser of the Kaunas street art festival "Nykoka", beautifying the city with colours and drawings in various spaces. Participating in a number of social actions, Tadas devotes his work not only to the chamber environment, but also to human communities, revitalisation of abandoned city spaces, and analysis of various social and urban problems. Together with like-minded people, he has founded the interior and exterior decoration studio "Gyva Grafika", which has been successfully carrying out various projects for several years.

In 2010, he graduated from the Vilnius Academy of Arts (KDF) with a degree in graphic design.
