The author constantly surprises with the creative change of expression methods and author's techniques, original and unusual formats of works. His creative field of interest is constantly changing and also very diverse.

The main source of inspiration is the search for the constantly changing interface between nature and man, the creative materiality of the work, the development of the theme (cycles of landscapes, abstractions, the human figure).

The artist Marius Strolia has long admired the archaeomythology studies of the famous University of California professor Marija Gimbutienė (1921 - 1994), so his work often reflects mythological motifs, archaic forms of sculptures of Neolithic goddesses.

In 2020, Marius Strolia was awarded a scholarship by the Lithuanian Council of Culture for the creation of the drawing cycle "Europe". The cycle drawings were created in honor of M. Gimbutienė's memory.
