Painting in the room
"K. Česonytė’s paintings are variations on Expressionist painting: characterized by a trembling touch, energetic brushstrokes, and expressive paint textures with which she often seems to 'sculpt' figures, objects, and landscape elements. In terms of genre, the scope of her work is quite traditional. Landscapes predominate, though the artist has also painted a series of still lifes, numerous urban scenes, and the occasional stylized portrait. Yet, other aspects of K. Česonytė’s painting align her less with classical modernist art and more with the imagery of the contemporary, media-saturated world. 'My tools are the computer and virtual space,' she says. The visual imagery in her paintings derives not from reality itself, but from a virtual—or secondary—reality. For this creative artist, however, that serves merely as a springboard or a starting signal that liberates both imagination and hand. In her work, this secondary reality—or a chance motif—and the artist’s imagination most often intertwine inseparably. Images suggested by modern media are transformed into authentic visions, deeply and sensitively experienced by the painter herself."

About this artwork+
The painting features an abstract form, seemingly organic, set against a vibrant background dominated by shades of pink and red. The central figure, rendered in lighter tones of white and pale blue, swirls gently across the canvas, its contours smooth and flowing. An eye-like shape, accentuated with a dash of dark pink and a black pupil, draws immediate attention. Above this central eye, a small red circle and a pinkish line suggest additional anatomical details, perhaps veins or muscles. The most striking element within the form is a petite, neatly outlined heart, located just right of the center, adding a subtle hint of emotion or symbolism to the otherwise enigmatic composition. The entire image is bordered by what appears to be a darker frame, possibly blue or black, giving the artwork a contained and finished look.
