Albinas Markevičius is a celebrated Lithuanian artist, widely recognized for his distinct approach to landscape painting. His work is characterized by bold, sweeping brushstrokes that serve as an unmistakable hallmark. Favoring abstract and simplified forms, Markevičius brings a unique aesthetic to his landscapes. Throughout the 1980s, Albinas devoted himself to both his personal artistic pursuits and to educating emerging artists. Between 1980 and 1989, he instructed students in painting and composition at the Art Institute, shaping the perspectives of many with his expertise and singular vision. Currently residing and working in Vilnius, Lithuania, Markevičius remains deeply engaged in both stained glass and painting.
