More about this artwork

The image depicts a stark, textured portrayal of two vertical forms that resemble trees, set against a light background. The trees are bold and dark with rough surfaces, possibly showing signs of aging or weathering. Their imposing presence dominates the composition, highlighted by thick, black strokes that give a feeling of depth and ruggedness. The background is intricately sprinkled with fine, white speckles and striations, suggesting light filtering through a dense forest canopy or perhaps the scratchy quality of underbrush. The contrasts between the dark figures and the light background, along with the energetic lines and splatters, convey a dynamic yet somber atmosphere, reminiscent of a quiet, secluded forest.

From 2007 to 2010, Ramūnas attended Vilnius College of Technologies and Design, where he studied graphic design. Throughout these years, his enthusiasm for graphic arts truly blossomed. Gravure graphic techniques serve as the main focus of his artistic work, a field demanding both creative insight and precise technical skill.
