Jurgita Buterlevičienė, a professional artist from Vilnius, graduated from Vilnius Academy of Arts. She live and creates art near Birštonas.
Her paintings primarily center on nature, featuring themes such as fields, water, and the changing seasons. Her artwork often depicts the interplay of light and shadow in landscapes painted with serene and melancholic colors. Her art transitions from landscapes to abstract representations, encouraging viewers to seek tranquility and harmony. The paintings are multi-layered, requiring space and gradually revealing themselves, inviting the audience to perceive both the artist's thoughts and their own emotions. Exploring these artworks allows one to uncover what lies within oneself.
Jurgita showcases her art both independently and alongside other artists in exhibitions in Lithuania and abroad. Also participates and curates plein airs.
She creates various series of paintings with diverse themes, emotions, colors, and techniques, presenting artworks in different sizes from large to small. She is adventurous in her artistic approach, continuously exploring new methods of self-expression.
