About the author
I am a glass artist.
I studied at a higher school of art, specialising in interior design. I graduated from the Vilnius Academy of Arts, where I obtained my bachelor's and master's degrees in glass studies.
I have been working with glass for 16 years. This has allowed me to clearly feel, understand and convey the nuances and subtleties of this art and to combine them in order to meet the expectations of the client. Although glass is a difficult material, if its properties are understood and used to its advantage over other materials (e.g. transparency and light transmission), and if the standard view of the potential of glass is changed and it is given a wider range of applications, it can be used to produce an original result. And when touched by an artist's hand, glass warms up and becomes a cosy home detail...
